Migraine and CDH, like most invisible diseases/disabilities, are diseases that you would not wish on your worst enemy.

The medical profession has not worked out how to treat the conditions and the informed, empowered (and frustrated) patient often knows at least as much as his or her doctor, if not more.

This seems a provocative statement to make, but as a member of a CDH & migraine-prone family, a life-long sufferer and as someone who passed the condition to both my sons, I am more than willing to substantiate it.

The repository of knowledge about these diseases is the International Headache Society (http://www.ihs-headache.org) where diagnostic criteria are set for worldwide medical practice.
